(The Hosting News) – The Planet has announced it will host a free webinar on the financial and business fundamentals required to operate and grow a web hosting company. Moderated by Liam Eagle, editor of Web Host Industry Review, the session features The Planet’s General Manager of Dedicated Hosting and Global Services Todd Mitchell. Titled “Developing Your Hosting Business Model: Planning for Growth and Success,” it is scheduled for May 19, 2010, at 2 p.m. EDT.
Prior to joining The Planet, Mitchell was president and chief operating officer of web hosting company Site5, where he led its growth from a small startup to a mid-sized profitable company.
“We’re seeing increased requests from our customers and from resellers about how to grow and optimize their businesses, and it’s through our collaboration with them that we identified an opportunity to share our expertise with the broader community,” said Mitchell. “We will offer a framework for building a successful hosting business, including how to evaluate systems, maintain impeccable service and support, and market and sell the business.”
